Indian Air Force (IAF) gives the opportunity to serve the country with many thrills and zest. Indian Airforce is the force which secures our air space. The first & foremost mission of Indian Air Force (IAF) is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during the armed conflict. It was formed on 8 October 1932 as an auxiliary air force of the British Empire which honored Bharat (India). Ministry of Defence (MOD) is the administrative head of this armed force. President is the chief-commander of this armed force.
There are many possibilities to enter into the IAF. If you are a science student then there will be a super high chance to get a job in the airforce. The IAF published the recruitment for the posts for the 12th pass, graduates, and Post Graduates for technical and non-technical aspirants. The first condition is to join the IAF the candidate must be unmarried. The male and females candidates are eligible for joining the IAF.
Indian Air Force – Job Opportunities
To 12th Passed – Aspirant can apply for the post of Group X and Group Y posts.NDA is the exam in which 12th passed in the science stream contenders organized twice in a year by the UPSC. The aspirant age must be in between 16.5 yr to 19.5 years.
The aspirant must have physics and math in the 12th class. unmarried and male candidate can apply for the NDA exam. There are many jobs such as Tradesmen, Washermen, Cooks, etc.
For Graduates – Job seeker who has passed the graduation from a non-technical stream and as well as in technical or engineering stream can apply for joining the IAF. AFCAT is the exam which is held twice in a year.
Engineering aspirant can apply for all the three wings i.e Flying, Technical, Ground Duty wing. But non-technical graduate is able to apply the only for the Ground Duty branch. The only unmarried candidate under the age of 20 to 24 is applicable. Graduate jobs are officers-grade jobs. Officers will have a luxurious and prestigious life in IAF.
CDS is another exam conducting by the UPSC twice in a year. Only the candidates who have passed 12th with physics and math subject and graduate in the technical and non-technical stream can apply in CDS.
NCC cadets can apply for joining the IAF who have the air wing c-certificate and achieved 60% marks in 12th.
Metrological department in IAF is the one department in which the postgraduate candidates can apply. The candidate has to attain 50% in the postgraduate in concerned subject of science stream for applying in the metrological department of IAF.
